The Kite and the Nightingale

A Recital by Jonathan Rees

‘We only listen to our own instincts, and only believe ill fate once it is upon us.’

Jean de La Fontaine

The Kite and the Nightingale: flights of inspiration from 17th-C France.

A late-night performance of music by Sainte-Colombe and his stylistic antagonist De Machy, with fables by La Fontaine.
